It’s been a while. If you worried about me, I’m sorry. I’ve just been very busy doing non-doll and non-embroidery related stuff.
We’ve recently purchased a charming cottage in the mountains of Virginia, 3 1/2 hours away from our home. And it’s a ton of work (and fun) to furnish, decorate and make livable. I’m making curtains for all the windows, painting furniture, and searching out quirky and colorful (but NOT cutesy) furnishings.
We spent this weekend at the cottage with our parrot and two dogs. Our elderly pug has found it necessary to wake us by howling almost hourly every night we’ve been there. So I’m really sleepy. Sure hope we can figure our what’s bothering her soon.
But this week, I’ll be back to embroidery because I’m attending the Embroiderers’ Guild of America national seminar in Alexandria, VA, starting Tuesday. Somehow, by combining classes from my first, second and third choices, the Guild has assigned all three of my classes with the same teacher. Hopefully it won’t be too repetitive.
This is my first EGA convention. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Best wishes to you with your cute little home!
Thanks.
Wow what a dream of a cabin. perhaps your dog is unsure of new sounds at night, protecting you.
She has cataracts and I think it’s just too dark for her. Early Sunday morning we moved her downstairs and put the lights on and she went right to sleep. Next weekend we’ll try that and see if it is the answer.
It looks just wonderful — how lucky you are!
I do keep pinching myself.
